Coast Community Connections Suicide Prevention Walk
Coast Community Connections is marking World Suicide Prevention Day on 10 September by inviting the community to take part in Lifeline's Out of the Shadows national suicide prevention walk from 9am.
Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged between 15 and 44 and men are four times more likely to die by suicide than women. Suicide prevention work is grossly underfunded, yet more people die from suicide than road or traffic related accidents.
To increase awareness of the impact of suicide locally, the not for profit, community organisation is asking locals to join them on this annual walk from Umina Beach.
