National Quality Framework
The Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) is the national body jointly governed by the Australian Government and state and territory governments. ACECQA guide and oversee the implementation of the National Quality Framework (NQF).
Since 2012, most long day care, family day care, preschool (or kindergarten) and outside schools hours care services have been operating under the National Quality Framework. Coast Community Connections Children's Services operate under this framework.
The National Quality Framework aims to raise the quality of education and care across Australian services by introducing a National Quality Standard - this is a standard that all services work toward.
The NQF includes:
- the National Law and National Regulations
- the National Quality Standard
- an assessment and quality rating process
- national learning frameworks.
For more information on the NQF visit the ACECQA website www.acecqa.gov.au as our framework and regulations can change at anytime.
