Equipping parents with emotional intelligent parenting approach

Coast Community Connections will be hosting a five-session parenting program called Tuning in to Teens. Presented by Uniting’s Reconnecting Parents and Adolescent Team (RAPT) this program is designed for parents of adolescents aged between 10 and 18 years with sessions to be held every Tuesday from 28 May to 25 June 2019 at the Peninsula Community Centre.

The Tuning in to Teens program aims to equip parents with the skills to take a more emotionally intelligent approach to parenting, as well as giving parents the knowledge to help their teens develop emotional intelligence for themselves.

The sessions will teach parents valuable emotional coaching skills allowing them to develop a better understanding of their teen as well as help their teen learn to effectively manage their emotions and deal with conflict.

The five-session parenting program is free to attend but bookings are recommended as space is limited. For further information and bookings please contact the Peninsula Community Centre on
